It appears that your firewall may be blocking Box.net or you are encountering an error.

Please contact your IT administrator to configure your firewall to recognize all sub-domains of .box.net and .boxcdn.net. The ports that should be opened for these domains are 80 and 443.

Box is designed to work just like your operating system, so file management is easy. In your Box account, you can organize your files in folders just as you would on your computer.

To create a new folder, click the 'New Folder' button found on the upper-right side of the 'All Files' page. A pop-up window will appear prompting you to enter the name of the new folder and whether you would like to give anyone 'Collaborator' access to the folder. Click 'Okay' to complete the folder creation process.

To move a file or a folder, simply drag it from its current location and drop it in the folder you would like to put it in, just as you would with a file on your hard drive. You can also click on the little blue box with the white downward arrow and select 'Move.'  On the pop-up window select the new location you would like to move the file or folder to and then click 'Move.'

To delete a file or a folder, click on the little blue box with the white downward arrow and select 'Delete.' A pop-up window will appear, asking you to confirm if you would like to delete the file or the folder. If you click 'yes,' the file will be deleted from your account. To delete multiple files and/or folders check the box shown on the right side of each file or folder. Once you have selected all the applicable files or folders scroll to the top of the file display area and click on 'Delete' shown just below the 'New Folder' button. A pop-up window will appear asking you to confirm if you would like to delete the files and/or the folders. If you click 'Okay' the files and folders will be deleted from your Box.

To search for a file or folder locate the search bar shown on the upper right hand side of the 'All Files' page found below the 'Settings' option. Enter all or part of the name of the file or folder you are searching for and the search will return any files and folders in your account containing the entered text in their names or their descriptions.

Tip: You can filter with file type by searching for that file's extension (e.g. search for ".jpg" or ".xls"). You can also search by tag.
